Bike Ambulance

World's First Bike Ambulance

We are a vehicle design and implementation company focused on EMS (Emergency Medical Service) and rescue operations. Our flagship compact ambulance capable of fully enclosed patient transport has 2 versions one of which has a working prototype.

Our mission is to save lives by reducing ambulance response times. This will be done by providing more maneuverable ambulances with less transportation limitations. Our vehicles can travel quickly on traditionally inaccessible routes like trails, bike paths, walkways, and indoors.

We envision bike ambulances implemented across the globe in a variety of communities and terrains. As the vehicles are less expensive than traditional ambulances we hope to provide bike ambulances to disadvantaged communities that would otherwise not have rescue vehicles. We also aim to provide bike ambulances to every type of community from urban centers to rural locations.

Problems with Current Ambulance Services

Current ambulance systems work well; however, they have limitations that often increase response times.

Traffic Congestion

Large size of most ambulances limits mobility making it difficult for them to go around vehicles and obstacles in emergency situations. This becomes an issue on congested streets and traffic.

Parking Space

The Large footprint of traditional ambulances limits them to wider parking spaces which can take additional time in emergency situations. If the ambulances are not parked in proper locations the vehicles can obstruct roads and paths creating street congestion.

Access to Disaster Relief

In natural disasters, roads and building infrastructure is often destroyed. The destruction of the large pathways needed for traditional ambulances results in fewer and slower rescues.

Access in Crowds

Van ambulances struggle when traveling in crowds of people because of the vehicle's size, lack of maneuverability, and the drivers fear of running into pedestrians.

Access to Rural Locations

Traditional ambulances are not made to be all terrain vehicles or to handle unpaved roads. Additionally, many rural locations are serviced by ambulances from its more populated neighboring regions due to the costs of traditional ambulances.

Narrow Streets

Traditional van ambulances are large with a size limiting them to wide roads and paths with supporting infrastructure for the excessive weight and footprint.
